About Us

What does it mean to LIVE WELL?

We feel that Living Well is a birthright and that movement and wellness services should be accessible to everyone. That’s why we have made it our mission to offer high quality instruction in Yoga and fitness at an affordable rate. With sliding scale drop-ins, donation classes, and tiered memberships we are here to help you move your body, live mindfully and connect with your true Self. We strive to keep our classes inclusive and accessible to fit your busy schedule, so we offer both live streamed and in studio movement & wellness classes, events, workshops, and lectures. We are YOUR community-focused space to grow, learn, and thrive together.

Move Well. Connect Well. LIVEWELL Camas.

Three Pillars of Living Well

  • Daily movement is essential to living a healthy, happy and productive life. We aim to support your physical, emotional, and psychological wellbeing with a wide variety of mindful movement classes, workshops and events. We have created a schedule to keep you engaged, and inspired each and every day of the week. We currently offer daily classes in-studio and through our virtual classroom. In addition, we have a robust workshop and special-series schedule that varies with the season. Whether you want to actively move to an upbeat playlist, or settle in with bolsters and blankets as you relax and restore… from Yoga and somatics to fitness and dance, we’ve got you covered.

A few things to keep in mind:

We kindly ask you to pre-register for classes.

We ask that you arrive to the studio at least 5 mins before the start of your class time. We have a small but mighty staff and at times the door is locked upon the start of class.

Our Inspiration

LiveWell Camas is focused on community and the student experience. We want our students to feel welcome from the moment they step through our door and to pursue their personal path in a way that is accessible, affordable, and most convenient to their schedules

We strive to have the most experienced and talented instructors and staff in SW Washington. We know that if our staff is cared for, our students and community reap the rewards.

We aim to cultivate a thriving and dedicated community of instructors by paying a competitive wage, supporting on-going education and training opportunities, and creating a team culture where we lift one another up.

Why a Non Profit?

Because LiveWell Camas is focused on our students, and our mission is to serve the broader community, we work diligently towards improving students experience, creating curriculum and opportunities for our youth, and reaching out to find and support anyone in the community with an interest in Yoga, fitness or related studies. All of our money goes right back into our space and our community so that we can have the largest impact that we can.

Many studies have shown the feel good benefits of Yoga, mediation and movement including lowering stress hormones in our bodies while simultaneously increasing beneficial brain chemicals such as endorphins, serotonin, and dopamine. These feel-good chemicals can help decrease anxiety and improve overall mood and health. These benefits can extend outwards into our community and our town. We are inextricably connected and only as strong as the most vulnerable members of our community, so by benefiting one we benefit all.

We have worked hard to attract talented teachers with a wide range of experience and styles. We offer a wide range of regular weekly classes (with an ever growing schedule), special events and workshops to meet the needs and interests of our students.

In 2020 we made the decision to switch to more equitable and accessible pricing model that includes sliding scale drop in rates on all classes, workshops and events, tiered and competitively priced membership options, as well as class packs that are available in 5/10/20/50 packs. We never turn anyone away from accessing our offerings because we believe that everyone deserves access to the well-being and inner peace that a yoga and movement practice brings.

LiveWell Camas is directed by a Board of Directors composed of students, and community members with a maximum of one teacher on the board. Memberships encourage students to attend frequent and diverse classes, drop in students can support the organization with whatever they feel they are able. Our instructors are paid a competitive rate based on their experience and we do our best to foster an environment that allows them to offer classes in areas of their passion, during what might normally be considered off-hours, or to provide offerings that may appeal to a smaller set of students.
